The Foon Yew High School campus in Kulai is nestled on a 30-acre hilly site which peaks at the ridge, overlooking the old town.  The campus was masterplanned to ensure minimum cutting of the terrain and preserving the ridge.  The different components of the school campus are ordered along a main 'spine' building which climbs the hilly terrain, whilst containing facilities like the auditorium, AV rooms, IT rooms and others.  The academic blocks are oriented NS for optimum thermal comfort, and the low lying part of the site is used for its sports facilities.
